The content on this page is related to a deprecated version of LoadUI, which has been superseded by LoadUI NG Pro in the Ready! API platform. Click here to learn more.

Note: The examples used in this article happen to be for installing LoadUI 2.5.1 on Windows, but the same command line options apply to all versions on all operating systems.

If you wish to install the controller from the command line, you can simply type in:

LoadUI-Agent-2.5.1.exe -c

If you wish to install in unattended mode, you can use:

LoadUI-Agent-2.5.1.exe -q

In unattended mode, the installation runs by itself until the end without asking any questions, using default values for all options if nothing else is specified. The directory where LoadUI should be installed can be specified with the -dir argument and any answers to the installer questions that should be different from their default values can be specified in a response file by passing the -varfile argument. The easiest way to generate such a response file is to run the installer in another mode and retrieve the response.varfile file created by the installer in the .install4j sub directory of the directory where loadUI was installed. This file is a text file that contains installer variables and their values that may be edited with any text editor if needed. Under Windows loadUI Agent can be installed in unattended mode with the following command:

start /wait LoadUI-Agent-2.5.1.exe -q -varfile response.varfile
