With the current updates of Java loadUI will stop working under the new JRE. This is most apparent on the Mac platform; on Windows loadUI comes bundled with its own JRE and will therefore not be affected in most cases.
The issue is due to the Java update breaking functionality in a third party library used by loadUI: Apache Felix. We've released an updated version for all users that addresses the issue. Get the current nightly build here.
Please note that the problem only occurs on Mac OS for the following updates:
- Java for Mac OS X 10.6 Update 4
- Java for Mac OS X 10.5 Update 9
You will have the problem on Windows or Linux if you have configure loadUI under an alternative JRE in which case the current nightly build will solve the problem. The update won't affect any runners, but if you update loadUI we encourage you to update all runners at the same time to ensure compatibility.
